Churches

Gavalochori has 12 churches, and all of them remain in use. You can experience them in several ways. You can enjoy their architecture and their settings (many of them are in lovely locations), or you can visit them during their name-day celebrations that commemorate the saints or events for whom the churches are named. You also might visit them and reflect on the lives of the saints to whom the churches are dedicated and the values and characteristics they embodied.
