Gavalochori is currently working to expand its connections with school administrators who would like to bring students to see the historic sites in the village. Students can learn much from seeing the Folklore Museum, the Venetian Wells from the 15th and 16th centuries, the restored Olive Mill from the 17th century, and the Historic Corner (“Old Kafeneio”) that was created during the German occupation of the village.
